Title: Needles that don't look like needles?

I can't see any eye so don't think they really are sewing machine needles.  I'm curious to see if anyone knows what they are?

They look like little screwdrivers don't they.
Could they be for felting?
Or cut work?

They look more like something that might be used for modelling clay or carving wood?

Very strange.  I wonder if they are for punching holes, various shapes and sizes, to then hand stitch with heavy cord or similar.

Engraving tools maybe?

I'm not convinced they're for sewing at all  -<

I noticed that some were engraved with the name 'Blizzard' so had a quick search for that. I found this and thought it couldn't be right but looking at some of the end shapes it might possibly be.

Blizzard tool (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-BLIZZARD-Professional-Steel-Cuticle-Pusher-Remover-Tool-with-Scraper-Blade-/331274887712?_trksid=p2385738.m2548.l4275)

I wondered if they were for tooling leather. Maybe they fit into a machine which stamps the patterns?

I think they are some sort of engraving tool tips - there was probably a handle of some sort to go with them as they are only about 2 inches long.

Just because someone calls them machine needles on ebay doesn't mean that they are machine needles!
I've seen dozens of "lace bobbins" on there which definitely were not lace bobbins.

I looked at you link and thought maybe, but then after I'd left the forum I looked at Facebook and the cookies thing meant that a Blizard Ad popped up and that shows a 5 inch cuticle pusher tool.  The thingies on ebay are only about 2 inches long.

They look similar, I was thinking patterning on leather, but they are for silver or whatever.
I didn't buy the ebay ones!
