@Pearl , I’m really enjoying playing with the rulers  at the moment.

It’s very addictive.

This is an early practice piece, my stitch length is improving the more I do.

Well I’m looking forward to it @Iminei !

I haven’t done April’s yet, but have just had some rather nice silvery grey background fabric delivered, which I hope will tie in with the two blocks I’ve already made.

I am planning a day this weekend to do April’s and May’s blocks and hopefully start a little QAYG now I’m getting used to my rulers.

Well you were right @Sandra 968 is just the right colour.

I’ve used the upholstery weight rather than the topstitch thread and am really pleased. I’ve also used the triple straight stitch @sewmuchmore suggested and really like it once I lengthened it to 4.5.

I’ve always added photos as an attachment because I can’t work out how to add an image on my ipad.  I’ve always selected the small image option but if it’s going to be a problem I’ll just have to stop posting pics.

Thanks @Elnnina , fortunately for me my machine is very clever and only lets me do straight stitches when the straight stitch plate is on.  Mind you I have cursed it before when I tried to stitch a buttonhole and it refused because the wrong stitch plate was on.

I saw it @SkoutSews , it was absolutely fascinating.  The Frenchman must have had a thing about incredibly long samplers.
