Title: Morwenna's Top
Post by: b15erk on August 21, 2018, 15:28:24 PM
I was watching a re-run of Doc Martin last week when I was off work, and I was reminded of a top I loved last year, but never found a pattern for.

I have similar, but not complete patterns (torn and damaged).

Can anyone help?  (Hopefully the pic will attach)

Jessie

Thanks Fran, some lovely tops there.  Unfortunately, the top I'm looking for is the Feather and fan pattern (and I have no idea how to adjust the patterns).

I have to say that the third one is a very similar style.  I will have a little look.

Thank you!

Jessie

Do you know, I am not a lover of knitted tops but that one took my eye when I saw Doc m the other day.  Just love that programme.  Been to the village too.

@b15erk I think I've got it, it was in a magazine from a few years back. Leave it with me and I'll have a look for it tomorrow. I may have put it in the loft and if the weathers going to be as warm as they say it's going to be it may be Thursday when I can get in there. It's a dorma roof and gets so hot in there you can't breath but I promise you I'll find it for you.

SStitch, it would be amazing if you did have this pattern, but please don't put yourself to a lot of trouble.  I've got a bee in my bonnet about a couple of patterns - too much time on my hands when I was off sick last week.

Jessie

eta It would be very much appreciated if you did find it!  ;)

Glad to see you back Jessie :)

I had a little look and came across this picture. You can download the pattern from the blog too.
I think it is quite similar at the top but not sure if Morwenna's top changes further down in the one she is wearing? Anyway, worth posting for you to have a look?

Oh! I'm sorry I never looked at the size. I'll have another look then. It's a vintage pattern so maybe they only came in smaller sizes? I'm not a knitter so can't advise how to make it bigger but will look again and in the meantime maybe surestitch will find her pattern  :)

Don't go overdoing it though.

SStitch, you little star you!  - that's it (or near as d**mnit!)

Now how do we do this?  Do you want to sell it to me?  Or may I borrow it?

Maybe you could tell me which magazine it comes from and I could try to get a copy?

Please let me know which is best - I'm very happy to pay you!

Jessie :)

I don't want anything for it, it's just nice to make someone happy
