I’m not a lover of twin needle work on  jersey.  Never seemed to get a good result.
I prefer a 3 step zig zag to a normal zig zag.  It’s wide enough to make the hem lie flat and doesn’t give the problems that a plain one often does.  That’s a nice finish @Ouryve.  Not used that before.
I used to use a feather stitch and also a Greek key stitch.  Either of those works because they go back and forth building in elasticity.  But they take time.
Nowadays I have a cover stitch machine.  I sometimes like to sew it upside down.  It’s a nice look but is also so easy to get right to the edge of the hem! ;)

Doesn’t look too bad @Bodgeitandscarper

I’ve pinned sleeve linings in place on my coat.  Was going to stitch them in but decided to tack them and see how they were.  It’s also going to be easier to sew them like that.  But that’s for another day.

@Morgan because we have a choice of sewing or clearing up.  Sewing always comes first.  And when there is a project on the go it’s amazing how messy our sewing rooms get.  I sometimes pop my head round the door and have a look when I’ve tidied and cleaned mine.  Just to remind myself what it can look like before I wreck it.    :)

I might get there.  ::thinks::

Although we’re now back home there’s been no time to sew.  After sorting everything out that we brought back I’ve had to do the Ocado order.  Maybe tomorrow?

I don’t really have clothes for different seasons.  I used to wear short sleeved knit tops all year and a cardi when needed.  I now wear long sleeves in winter so they might go away soon.  I also change from cotton twill trousers to then viscose ones in summer or even culottes.  Cardigans are same all year.  And I don’t wear jumpers.  Got into that habit at work as we were all taking them off and on all day depending on what we were doing.

I’ve already been sewing!  :thumb:   Decided on jacket potatoes for dinner so no work for me.  After sorting washing and general stuff I was in there by 10 this morning.  I’m sure I’ve forgotten to do something.   ::thinks::

Coffee time now and then I’ll be back there in a while.

A Good Yarn / Re: AUTUMN SOCK KNIT ALONG. 2023 New

Well after what seems forever I have finally finished a pair of socks for DH.  They aren’t great and they were a PITA to do.  But they might keep DH's feet warm.
I used Winwickmum's site but found it awkward.  I need specific instructions and found hers were a bit woolly (no pun intended) unless making the one size in her pattern.
I bought the kindle version of the book that @Deafoldbat recommended.  So I will give another pattern a go sometime.  But back to my comfort zone and sewing first I think.   :)
