Cardigans or any garment have a limited life span - usually short with babies, blankets can be used for much longer.

Embroidery and Embellishment / Re: New Hand embroidery THREAD
« on: May 14, 2022, 14:50:53 PM »
I haven't done any hand embroidery for years. My friend had an embroidery shop for 30 years and I spent a fortune on kits, threads and fabric. I still have quite a lot of stuff stashed away that I never got round to doing.

The bunting I made I turned over the top and threaded it with string using strategic dabs of glue. It has been used three times and is still fine. (String is cheaper than tape ;))

I've still got a load of bunting I made for the Golden Jubilee, don't know if theres anything going on round here this time as the "organising neighbours" have since moved.
Hello @DementedFairy, lovely to hear from you but sad for all your woes, hope all goes well and come back to us soon.

I won't say never again as I haven't made that many quilts although it's more than I can think of at the moment.
I've got a Lintott jelly roll pattern on the cards as well as a stained glass window effect and a Susan Briscoe Japanese design. all the fabrics are in place, I just need to get started.

Thank you for the link @Silver Rose, why did I think that the Welsh Quilt centre had closed?
We are due to go to mid Wales later this year  wonder if DH fancies a day out, would make a change from bird watching ;)

Just been to have a look on eBay - it did say they would be back 13 April, now says 11th May, not looking good.

One of my favourite go-to places, the website has been down for ages. I thought at one time that they had gone for good. :(

Beautiful bride with a  beautiful dress. Congratulations to you both. Thank you for sharing your 'journey' over the months. The bridesmaids were lovely too.
