Title: Covers finished
Post by: sewmuchmore on January 14, 2018, 19:00:22 PM
Not sure if this is the right place for this but this is what I have made this weekend. Ignore the chalk marks, I can't seem to get them off.

They're brilliant - and that sampler is a terrific idea.  Useful and looks good too.   0_0

Wow, so intricate and artistic too. Is that machine embroidery - plus some appliqué? You must be chuffed to bits.

They're great. You must have a very big hoop on your embroidery machine!

Amazing. I need one for my machines as they get dusty so quickly!

They look fab.  :toast:

I have made covers for the vintage 201s but I really should do something for the overlocker and the coverstitcher, the flimsy plastic covers they come with are c**p.

I agree ... Elvis's cover is a nasty, plasticky thing which is shocking considering the cost of him when bouhght new (or even new to me)... I call it his body bag ... and one day I will make something beautiful like the one in this thread.

At least The Splurgess (and The Splurge) have a classy sturdy semi rigid cover with beautiful bold lettering on.

The overlocker is a Juki MO 100 which was a Christmas pressy (I will write a review when I have road tested all the functions)
Embroidery Machine is a Brother Innovis V3
Sewing machine is, I will whisper this, a Pffaf Quilt (there I have said it) Expression 4.2
The one under the cover with the sample stitches is my very first sewing machine that Mum has had in a cupboard for years. A singer 7136 still in excellent working order.

12 x 8 (300mm x 200mm) is my largest.

Mine is 280x300 but I can't make it embroider right into the corners so the usable area is quite a bit smaller.
