Nice and it doesn't look half as complicated as October. Thank you, now off to look for fabric - probably back to the blues and greens.

It felt quicker but I prefer the other method as much less waste produced, it didn’t seem that necessary to me.

I couldn't get the print out so I did the 4 in 1 method.

Ok, Each to their own, they both produced marvellous results within the block.

I liked it because they really were spot on and cutting the material smaller than the designer suggested saved on the waste.

FPP is a cousin to FMQ and both reside with
Lovely blocks, I'll do mine today if I can be bothered to write out the instructions  ;)

Because it’s accurate and quick I think it’s very good if not very confident and nervous about trying patchwork.  I’m planning to get my Mum to give it a go as she’s wanting to get into sewing more but doesn’t know what to start with.

Here's mine - needs a proper press.
The BOM exercise has taught me that I categorise HSTs as evils to be done only when necessary.  So I cheated (is it cheating?) and did flying geese instead.  In my defence m'lud I could only access it on my Kindle and couldn't print from there anyway.

So I ... did flying geese instead.

If I were making this block, I would make flying geese too. Why wouldn't you?  ;)

Very nicely done, however you made the HST pointy bits ...

Which brings me to a question I have often pondered when making together 4 " HST's into flying geese ...
Why the different methods???

Because with FG  ... adding two squares on the diagonal to each end of a rectangle ... you get an unbroken pattern in the middle bit of course !!! So now I know!

and Plosh, that is indeed a beautiful Block, Congratulations and into the BOM HOF you go ....

So I was only working half day today so I thought this afternoon I'd tackle this block using some lovely fabrics that came in a scrap bag that I bought recently.  I cut the pieces, made the half square triangles, sewed them together to make flying geese, assembled the block, feeling very pleased with myself.  Then I noticed I got the fabric the wrong way round on my FG.   :(

Take 2.

I almost prefer your layout, Pearl. Love the fabric.  <3

Why is it that when we're being our most careful, we make silly mistakes?  :S I've done it so many times.

Being a little late to the lovely party that is TSP - this is my first BOM. I'm hoping to catch up on a few more in the coming weeks but don't think I'll find time to make them all (unfortunately). :S

I enjoyed making this one although my machine didn't like the paper. I've never tried FPP before so would probably have to play with tensions if I did it again. I followed Iminei's clear instructions to the letter so it all came together fairly quickly, if with a bit of a fiddle.  ><

Oooh, I love your colourful background, Kenora.

And just to prove I'm not a complete Muppet (and because I didn't expect my first attempt to be accepted into the HOF, what with it being... em... wrong)

Pearl, if there's a wooden BOM spoon to be had my shimmering car crash would be hard to beat.

I don't think any of the blocks can be wrong..... it's a different interpretation  0_0

Okay, if we're going down that route then my September BOM is wrong and I didn't realise until it was in the HOF. I may do another but hey ho - as Lowena said 'it's my interpretation'. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it ;)

Ladies, What stupendous blocks!

Pearl, Do you not think I make mistakes when I make the BOM tuts ???
(Oh yes I do, try and spot it in one of the finished December blocks)

and Kenora, what fantastic fabric, what is it please?

Anyhow, both of you run along now,
Into the BOM HOF you go .....

Iminei, the fabric came from two separate fat quarter packs. The multi-coloured one was in a Hobbycraft "own label" pack, and the royal blue solid was sold by Amazon in a pack labelled as ROBOTS.

I just liked the colours together. :)

Have managed to get Novembers block done.

I know...fabric's a bit too busy on this one.

I like this block and I enjoyed stitching through the paper. I could see myself doing more of these.

It's looking good, Sandra.  <3 I enjoyed making the block too, although following the red line on the paper made my eyes feel as though they were crossing!  :S
