Title: Brother Innovis A80
Post by: Silver Rose on October 22, 2020, 10:54:03 AM
Does anyone have this machine? Any comments on its performance would be welcome, I can't afford to upgrade very much. I just want a reliable and workaday machine. My Alfa 30 is in for a service and it maybe a few weeks before I can sew again. Thanks in advance.

The Innovis machines are quite nice and simple to use.  I’ve sold loads of them.  The A80 has a nice needle threader which is much easier to use then the basic ones.  Lots of buttonholes if that is important to you.  And a nice selection of stitches.  Simple to select stitches, turn the dial and sew!
The optimum stitch width  and length is automatically selected but can be adjusted to suit.  Twin needle button.....if you remember to use it!    Needle up/down button.  Top loading bobbin.
If you need nice and simple and reliable this would be fine.  They can sew thicker fabrics too.
