Just wondered if anyone's thinking of going?
-
I am going with DIL she brought the tickets
-
That sounds interesting.
If it was on at the NEC, I'd go to it...I know I can get there and back easily.
Sandra.

I was thinking about going but then just found out that my husband's best friend and his family will be visiting us from the U.S... So, I will be most likely in London that weekend, doing the touristy things, but not quite east enough to hop in Excel :'(
-
Has anyone studied in more detail who is going to be tutoring at this?
Go and look at their website and on the tutors, also on exactly what different types of sewing etc are going to be available.
I think you may well be surprised at a very familiar name to those who were part of TSF.
-
0_0 0_0 Who's going to ask her what happened to TSF?
-
I did one of her workshops at a sewing show a couple of years back and it was very good but I am not going to do another.
-
I did a zip tutorial at Ally Pally a few years' ago.
-
I'm going with Fabric Lover, on th eThursday I think.
-
Say hello to you know who. Better still unfurl a banner asking whatever happened to TSF.
-
Hi Lachica I am going on the Thursday with DIL .
-
I've just looked at the website & they're offering 50% discount on tickets.
-
Obviously not enough takers. I thoroughly enjoyed the TV show, but can't imagine how a live one will work. -<
-
ExCel is not a very nice venue (even smaller than Olympia) and the last time I went there, quite a lot of the space was roped off. It will be packed, crammed and very hot.
-
Last chance to get a free ticket

The draw closes on 30 August.

No, just wear your Sewing Place badges with pride 0_0
Doubt if I'll get there, weve got the builders starting on 11th, though by then I might be in need of respite and rehabilitation.
-
I asked that earlier Effie... but got no reply :'(
-
I've just done a bit of googling and worked out who it is!!
I'm hoping to go on the Friday probably.
-
Ahhhh... got it.
-
Well I only recognised two names (both from K&S classes) and have no idea who was involved with TSF.
They do seem to be flogging special offers for the tickets though.
-
I'am going on Thursday wearing my badge ,hope to see some of you there
-
Absolutely no interest in GBSB live, but I am going to Ally Pally in October and really must order a badge. :D

I went to this yesterday with Lachica, had a lovely day. We saw Patrick Grant and Esme Young interviewed by Jenny Eclair, very interesting. Lots of other things on too, we enjoyed it but it wasn't as big as we'd expected.
-
I enjoyed it, but it was a lot smaller than we expected. Fabric Lover and I commented that if we hadn't spent an hour in the theatre, 20 mins watching the Vogue catwalk show and 15 mins watching a demo on jersey neck bindings, we'd have felt a bit cheated. We paid full price for our tickets, I will never do that again as there were so many ways to get free entry. The fabric shops were great, we've added to our stashes! Jenny Eclair was a great compère in the theatre, perhaps she could present the next series?
-
Dil and myself went on thursday we enjoyed it we spent an hour in the theatre Jenny Eclair eas a great compere Fabric got in to my bag :ninja: from Texile centre also got some new sicssors and a few other things. Meet Debbie Shaw .
-
Was there any mention of a new TV series? I've got my fingers and toes crossed... :o

That is absolutely gorgeous. It must all be done by hand.
