Post by: Pearl on March 31, 2020, 20:59:50 PM
Over the past week, I have been knitting for Birmingham children’s hospital.
Of course, I haven’t sewn them up and have no buttons.

My mum, who is 91, knits for premature babies, she was a premature baby herself.  Since she moved ive been unable to find out if Gloucester hospital take donations so have been sending them to Dundee where DHs niece supports the neo natal unit, having had 2 of her babies cared for there.

I love garter stitch, that's one thing the knitting machines don't do.

Such a lovely thing to do. I'm sure they will be well appreciated by new mom's who weren't prepared for an early baby.

I knit little blankets for premature babies, very slowly as I'm not a very good knitter but I do enjoy doing them.
