She dates to 1938 so a wedding present to my mother.
Not so much looked after as hardly used.
She is one heavy lump of metal :o

That machine is a real beauty and with a continuous family connection. Paperwork looks interesting and I love the price, although that was a lot of money in those days. Do you use it?

It looks like it's in perfect condition! Hardly sign of wear if any at all.
Is this the one you are thinking of converting to electrical? I have one exactly like it, serial number dates it to 1934, and has a lot more wear than yours. It was my great aunt's machine and I think it was electrical from the start, at least it has the smaller hand wheel and motor and light looks right for it's age. Mine has knee lever controller, but for a DIY converting I guess it's easier with a foot pedal set up (no need to drill a hole in the case, and the hunt for parts will be less).
Is it stitching well?
