Like it Dani, good fabric choice. I've made these before but I never feel comfortable in them, they tend to 'shift around' when worn. I love to see them though 

I wish I could make useful things ... to wear specifically as I live in the same 2 sweatshirts and jog bottoms my entire life but alas (and alack) I think it is too late for me

For a long time I was terrified (don't know why) of making clothes and would only make cushion covers, window blinds etc. but once I started I got hooked. Give it a go, girl 

I reckon I'm feeling brave enough to go in for this one, I have plenty plenty flowers in the stash and I do need another jumpsuit, after all, summer is upon us

Hmm sewing the 'right' way and the 'wrong' way. I took a few general dressmaking classes about three years ago after I'd already been fumbling around for a good year, with the intention of learning how to do things the 'right' way. Well it was a waste of time for me, we went through the most basic tasks which I already knew how to do - self-taught and plenty of common sense 

The lady teaching us was demo-ing something one day and although she showed us the correct procedure in theory, I do remember she got in a bit of a tizz and had to fudge around fitting it in place; hence I realised it's all part of the fun 

I no longer feel a failure when I have to bodge something
