Very basic returning knitter here.

Any advice please in keeping track of where you are on a pattern?

Wow @Ploshkin you really have taken that new craft and run with it. Seriously impressive.

Oh she is beautiful and looks in remarkable condition.
Everything just like Mummy's, the packaging, instruction book etc.

However I see there is a 222k being sold apparently for the same price and that would tempt me far more.

To be fair they have obviously gone for a specific 'look' for that photo shoot.

@Diane  I ended up splashing out on a Babylock BLCS - soooo worth it, never a skipped stitch to be seen, never even adjust anything on it, it just sews.
How much??? :scream:

Well it's a good many years since she took over the business from Terry Fox so I suppose it's not surprising that she wants to retire.

It is a well established business so I hope someone does take it over.

IIRC Red - right/positive (live), Black - left/negative, Green - earth (so top)

I personally wouldn't wear that style, but because it isn't my style - nothing to do with age.

If it is your style wear it.

Oh wow! That is a beautiful bag.

It is usually stock used by either designers or retail that is leftover at the end of a run.  I have Top Shop deadstock and Alexander McQueen.  It can also just be an end of line for a fabric.  Basically it is the stuff they would have thrown in the bin years ago and now sell on.
Isn't that some of the stuff Croft Mill sells?

Thank you @Mr Twingo please go and enjoy the weekend after all the hours you have had to put in sorting out our access.

I must admit as he was taking it all apart I wondered how he would know what part went where - especially the insides,
I have the same thought when I watch Steve taking apart a clock on The Repair Show - even more when it is some other item that he says he has never worked on before.
