Title: Hubert de Givenchy has died
Post by: UttaRetch on March 12, 2018, 17:16:07 PM
Announcement here. (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-43375454)  I loved the 'little black dress' he designed for Audrey Hepburn to wear in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I think I first watched Beakfast at Tiffany's and I never forgot it. I remember How to Steal a Million, and Charade well too. The clothes and style you can't miss at all, but I can't pin point every thing in detail, at least what's his part in it. It was much later I noticed the Givenchy name. 91 is not a bad number at all, he held in there the for the longest time. It's always said when someone you have noticed die, even at a grand old age. I should look further into his work :- )

Givenchy was always one of muv’s idols.  His style is more her personal taste for all that she worked at Dior.  He and Audrey Hepburn were some double act back in the day.
