A bit of a 'do' / Re: I need your help with a bride to be sash

If that's what works for you, yes.  If I'm closing something like that that I just sort of slip stitch it together, then press.  It's not as though the closure needs to be strong.

Thanks Brenda  :) :) :)

Morning Sarah, plenty of peeps on here able to offer advice and hand holding.

What are you planning to sew?

Thanks! I’ve just posted a question in the wedding section about sewing a bride to be sash.

One of very close friends is getting married in May and I would love to sew her a beautiful sash for her hen do. Something like this:

Any tips and basic walk-through advice for this project would be really appreciated!
Thanks, Sarah

Thanks Brenda. So a ladder stitch to close up the ends?

Hi everyone  :drink:

I'm Sarah, fairly new to sewing but really enjoying the few projects I've had a go at!

I'm guessing I would make two seperate pieces then join them together, but how would you join them (it looks like a near invisible seam on both sides would be best?) Also, would it be difficult to add a bias binding edge to the two sides?

Any tips and basic walk-through advice for this project would be really appreciated!

Thanks, Sarah
