Just come down from SR.
Sky is darkening so son with damaged hand has asked if I'll drive him to surgery for a dressing change
I have done more than for a couple if weeks  and runner is beginning to look like,a runner and not a lot of unpicked blocks.
As I missed yesterday I'll maybe use tomorrow afternoon for sewing.  Can't see gardening being done

Thank you @realale that fabric is in fact sashing.
It was the backing of the Kaffe Fasset quilt I made
I'm hoping I have enough fir the border but I very much doubt it

My bad day continued with dropping the iron, which landed hit plate first onto the carpet (less than a year old).
Why oh why does the large iron shape burn have to be right in the middle so can't be covered by furniture.
Nit tested iron and it has meaty bits on the sole plate.

I added a line is sashing yesterday.
I had a choice of 2 fabrics. I chose the wring one,  it doesn't 'go'  so this, afternoon I will be unpicking and adding the other fabric which isn't in convenient strips.
 HEY HO
such is the day today

Centre panel is done.
About 40 1/2 ins square. It now needs some sashing.
I have a choice of 2, whichever is used for sashing so the other will be used for the border .   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

I  am also emptying most of the spools.
Nothing bought in yet :D

And yes there are some jumps where seams aren't quite level but I am using scraps!

Well 24 hours late but have sewn the rows for the centre panel.
I was hoping to put it  together but some blocks needed tweaking to make them fit together

Came in shattered, changed   walked into sewing room and flopped.
So no sewing bur I will make up for it tomorrow .
And I did walk into the sewing room

Well I did come clubbing for a short  while.
I have sorted out the scrappy quilt centre panel and had hoped to sew it but not enough time today

Hopefully here tomorriw

I'm in danger of running out of backing fabric so may have to add patches that don't match
It may be ok I shall know in a couple of days if it keeps raining .

13
Used most of rectangles now.
Next will be HST's
Hoping I have enough fabric

14
Today I've run out of 2 1/2 ins square scraps .
Need to work out what to do with the rectangles now  ::thinks::

15
I have a half finished runner  and coaster set and also a  half finished but still used seat cover which badly needs to be finished.
Perhaps this will spur me on   to do them you never know  ;)
