Tech Know How / Re: Missing Notifications and DMs

I've finally given in and changed my notification email to a gmail account on the grounds that the outlook/hotmail problem just isn't getting sorted out, and I do like to have notifications. I did get the "you've changed your email" email, so hopefully it will keep working.

And @Acorn - how irritating about your work emails! And how weird. You'd think you could reply to something sent directly to you by someone you'd corresponded with before.... Does it also happen if you log in from a totally different computer?

Hi! Just wondering if you’d had any luck getting this issue sorted out with hotmail and outlook. I’m not getting notifications in this account either.

That is fascinating about overlocking vs serging! I'd always thought it was just a US vs UK thing. But while we are on terminology, being American I "vacuum" with my Miele, but I reach for "a Kleenex" (not "a tissue") when I sneeze ...

Having made one pair of hand interlined curtains (1 ½ widths/curtain, 225cm long), I was more than happy to pay £300/pair for making plus the fabric for another pair the same size!! It seems cheap at the price compared to a lot of other things. They aren't easy to make well, and as everyone else is saying, so heavy and so big.... Good, well made curtains last for ages, though, so it's a long term investment.
