Title: Cashmerette Appleton
Post by: Tiggy on April 16, 2017, 13:59:50 PM
After bad experiences, making wrap dresses and tops, I decided that they just were not for me.

Until this weekend.  I had a go at this pattern.  I don't know what the designer has done differently, but the front fits.  No gaping!  Straight out of the packet.   It's brilliant.

I'm considering this dress a wearable muslin, because the fabric is not bad, but not fab, and I need to lower the waistline by an inch.
I predict more of these dresses in my immediate future.

So happy to see this post. I have it in my next pile of patterns having had good success with the concord t shirt.

'Cashmerette' worked hard with her pattern cutter to come up with an excellent fit and there is high praise for it on PatternReview.  Apart from wishing that she had a circular skirt option, I am smaller than the starting size for this particular pattern.

I definitely want to try this pattern. I am probably going to hack on my own full skirt as I don't look good in slim skirts. I don't find skirt alterations too tough.
