Vintage Machines / Spare parts for old treadle machine
« on: August 07, 2018, 15:27:46 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get a spare part for an old treadle machine?

It’s an a beautiful singer 66 from 1930 and is in perfect working order, I’ve even got the original instruction booklet and the box with spare feet and gadgets in it, but really annoyingly it’s missing the slide cover for the shuttle, the machine can be used but it would be nice to have it complete again, can anyone help?
Thanks

Hi I’m new on here and just thaught that I would introduce myself, I live in rural Lincolnshire and have just started sewing again after a long break.
I used to make a lot of my own clothes many years ago but having recently dusted off my old singer I’ve discovered I’m more than a bit rusty!

The forum seems very friendly and it’s good to swop ideas with like minded people. As well as dressmaking I like cross stitch, crochet and want to have a bash at machine embroidery so I’m sure I will need some advice along the way  :sew:
