Title: Baby bag - interfacing?
Post by: Sewingsue on July 09, 2017, 19:16:10 PM
Simplicity 2924
Fabric (curtain cotton) and lining (patchwork cotton) bought and pieces cut out.

The requirements list fusible interfacing, but not what weight of interfacing.

Any advice from experienced bag makers welcomed.

Wouldn't call myself that experienced but from the look of the pattern it would seem a fairly stable bag and as you are using curtain fabric which in itself is reasonably rigid I (personally) would use a high loft fusible interfacing which is what I used for the bag on the attachment, the lining was 100% cotton and I only used an ordinary medium weight fusible interfacing on that part and the whole bag stood up well. You COULD use high loft on both the shell and the lining if you wanted because high loft is very light weight.
