Heh - seeing him in a post he does look a lot more familiar.  Fear not, he is safe.

I'd quite like to replace  :P with   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]   but he would need to be made bigger, I think.

Got the wrong one there.  I meant   [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]  as the replacement.  Only bigger.

I think  :[ and  :\  are very similar,

as are  >< and  -<

And I'm not sure anyone uses  :S

And I do agree about the ordering.  It always takes me ages to find  :)  I will tidy them up at some point (when there will be an outcry because nobody can find their favourites any more...)

Definitely siblings!  They're from this site which is a great resource, but a real slog to look through.

Block of the Month 2020 / Re: July's BOM

Haha - in the cold light of day my plywood is actually 23inches square!  No matter, I will just need more than a fat quarter to cover it!  It will still fit behind a bookcase when not in use.

Ladies, Ladies ... Do you not read the destructions

Now take to a hard ironing surface and PRESS
using a HOT iron.

Umm...  :|  Of course we do @Iminei.  Yes indeedy.  Always.

I have mine!  (He volunteered to go and look, honest!)  It was a bit cobwebby, but we gave it a vigorous brushing and I think it will be OK.  It's a bit larger than necessary - maybe 18in square, but I can cope with that, no need to cut it down.

I, um, had a blackcurrant Jubbly a few weeks ago...  :|  (Not sure if that was what it was called, but it was in one of those waxed cardboard, triangular-ish wrappers.)

I have a picture of a jacket in my 'Ideas' folder on my computer that is made just like that... Oh!  It's you @BrendaP in your lovely blue and grey jacket.   0_0  I have the pieces of fabric - largely velvets - and the pattern (StyleArc ADelaide or a similar Bootstrap pattern).  I really must get on with it.  And about 50 other things I have planned.

... ensured I had plenty of red on hand for the actual "doing".  Hmmmm, there seems to be a common theme running in tandem with all my time in the sewing room... :toast:

It seems to be working!!!  That looks wonderful.

@Bjay You worried me for a moment there - I've just realised that I'm now 5 behind, but I had thought I'd at least got to the end of June!!!

Looks gorgeous, by the way, as does yours @Pearl

In the wardrobe / Re: My style V. Current Fashions
« on: August 04, 2020, 09:58:39 AM »
I'm with @Efemera here - I think that was the first fashion that made me feel happy, and probably the first time I wore the same styles as the adults.  Oh, and broderie anglaise petticoats showing - lovely!   0_0

I'd be a bit more judicious now, as befits my greater age, but there's still a place for them.  In fact my fingers are itching...
