Starting to take shape, just need to make another 3/4 block to "go on top" and then I can put centre circles and backgrounds on. I'm just not sure what colour the centres will be. The backgrounds will be a grunge cream mottle but I feel the centres need to be a bold colour...maybe a dark mottled green perhaps. This has been put together just using what stuff I have...am determined not to purchase fabric atm. Very happy with how this is coming together. Have I ever mentioned how much I love fpp!

Wow. You sure is talented, lady!!! :faints:

I second what Imi says. Looks great but  is there loud and proud :D
@Stitches tried to talk me into trying fpp but I couldn't understand it even though she demonstrated......all that precision (( shudder ))
Love the colours

I do love me some FPP! Looking lovely.

.....and in my usual "second guessing" style I'm now re-thinking my blade groups to give it better balance.
-
Is this a better balance of colours than the first picture for my wall hanging, keeping in mind there will be another 3/4 block on top of these 2, and their centres and backgrounds will be a mottled grunge cream. I really am unsure about which layout is the better..... :headbang: help!
-
I prefer the first one, but I'm no expert... ;)
-
Second one for me
-
I find the latest one more pleasing to the eye.
-
I love them both, but just to be difficult, I rather like the first one, if I am honest...
-
Oh no...it's 2 all.... :faints: Now what am I to do! Someone else please chime in!!!! -<

Looks like I'm veering to the second one but.......blow me down, I was snuffling through my fabrics and found seme stuff that if I use "wrong side up" it will be a very close match to the fabric I don't have enough of to try the 2 options proper. So now I can happily make up enough of the blocks for either option and then more confidently make my choice  Thanks everyone!......and yeah, I'm still veering to number 2 0_0

.....and I'm ready to start basting. This moment right here is my favourite part of putting a project together: you've finished all the assembly, you've tidied your sewing room, you're all set to baste and get on with the magnificent quilting plan you've developed in your head over the last 300 morning tea breaks at work and.....and best of all........you are absolutely blissfully unaware of what you have stuffed up and are yet to find and fix
Note the boards I use for basting...notice how they are almost snug up into my window blinds? Haha, I had originally loaded the 3 boards only to discover I had so much "overhang" of board on the end of each that they fouled into the venetian blinds and I couldn't unroll them! :headbang: Had to unroll all 3 and redo them..idiot

That is magnificent! And very orderly and controlled!! :o
-
That is stunning- I love the colour wheel/ rainbow effect! Way too fiddly for me to attempt, but I will admire it from afar! :D

I have the utmost admiration for your paper piecing skill. I nearly drove myself demented yesterday doing a couple of simple triangles - I just couldn't get my head round where to put the fabric so that it covered the shape when folded back.
