Thinking of selling my Singer 201k... it’s in a table with flip out lid. It’s in beautiful condition.
Would there be any interest here?
-
Yes, I'm interested, but it depends on the price.
-
I was thinking of £75.... but I’m an awful long way from you.
-
Some pictures before I put it on FB
-
Oo, that’s lovely. Well worth a Very long day out, I’d have thought.
Shame I’m not in the U.K., otherwise I’d be outside your door straight away. ;)
-
Oh, lovely and how good to have the original receipt as well.
-
What a beauty! You'll have no problem selling this, especially now that sewing machines of every description are in demand.
-
I’m reluctant to sell but there’s only so many sewing machines you need...
-
Yep, one  :P :D
-
Nope!! I definitely need 4 of mine. :P The other 3 I just love.
-
I seem to be lagging. Need three, love one. :loveit:
That's a nice machine @Efemera. That price looks like a steal in ordinary times and these are not ordinary times.
-
Just want it to go to a good home....I’m sure the original owner Mrs Tulip would want that too.
-
That is a beauty. I don't think it feasible to transport down to me, at least not safely. It would be a travesty should it be damaged.
I do hope it finds a loving home…
Counting how many we have here: 5 1/2
-
SOLD... that didn’t take long!
-
THAT is beautiful ... and I cant believe HOW much it cost in 1956!
£76 !!!! Thats a fortune!
Thats £1,609.84 today according to this site (https://www.inflationtool.com/british-pound/1956-to-present-value?amount=76)
But she only paid £34, 4 shillings and 6 pence ???
Did she part exchange another machine ???
-
Full/part * payment.
-
That was a pristine machine complete with receipts.
If you were happy with £75 then fine but I think it was a steal at that price.
It was a stunner.
The black ones always look better than the beige ones I think.
If you have a 221 don't sell it!!!
Pete

@Sewot I only paid £40 so I didn’t mind, as long as it’s gone to a good home.
I have a white 221 but I’m not selling that nor the black 222, the Lotus 66, the black 99 or the black 306..... think that the lot for Singers!
