@Lowena , just wrong place, wrong time.  Its just what happens to be there at the time.  I always check the paperbacks for my favorite authors and then the crafts section if the shop has one.

If you happen to hit it when someone has just had a destash or when a family is clearing a house you might be lucky but I agree its very hit and miss.  To me that's part of the fun.

@WildAtlanticWay the kit is all the different fabrics needed to make a large quilt, so quite a few metres of good quality 100% cotton in colours I like. It also includes the pattern for the quilt which I may or may not use.

I don't think Craftsy sells fabric anymore but I seem to remember that their kits and fabrics were of a very good quality, so I'm happy.
