I decided to make this for room shot photos for the blog - no, just kidding- had some pinks and grey jellyroll strips and had a fancy for a quick and dirty. The bedhead is pale grey and the room is decorated pale pinky and grey wash and there's already a 50 shades of grey and pink wall hanging. Anyway here it is.

That looks lovely @Catllar. I like the colours :thumb:

Oh Do BEHAVE!!! Where the pic with the Wall Hanging and the two of them together ????
-
Let myself in for that one didn't I @Iminei
The wall hanging is here but can't get the two together, you'll just have to imagine. Also the hanging has more cream in it than I remembered (shows how often I look at it!) but it's far enough away not to shock the horses!

BF has asked me to make a bed runner. I have told her she'll have to go in the queue.
That looked nice and simple. Did you quilt it or just put backing on it?
-
Love the wall hanging.
Did you make it? If so more information please.

Sorry @Catllar had to rotate it as my neck couldnt stand the strain.
That is very interesting ... bought pattern, your own design? pieced, FPP ???
Very interesting ... curved piecing? applique??
Very Very Interesting!!!
-
Ahah!! The wall hanging was based on a quilt I saw in a book yonks and yonks ago. Lots of curved piecing but also some applique. The fabrics are all old things that have emotional meaning for me - silks and scarves that belonged to my mum, mostly. There is a lot of surface stuff added to
mask mistakes add embelishment and some skeleton magnolia leaves that were the inspiration for the colours used. There's a bit of Indian beaded silk net just because it's pretty. I prefer to work free like this = you can see why blocks aren't my favourite thing to make.
The runner is purely me, made long or short strips and added HS to some and then just alternated them, stitched em up end to end then folded in half long sides, stitched again, cut the loop and repeated till it fit the space I wanted. had to make one additional strip as I'd miscalculated. Bagged it out with a remnant of grey/black and Robert is the brother of your father!

@Bjay no not quilted, just bagged.and topstitched.

It is really lovely @Catllar :thumb:

That is lovely @Catllar @Iminei I like the dancing sprouts. Where do people find these!
-
No idea hon

Beautiful Both!
Really like how you used the triangle bits in the runner as they are very balanced.
The hanging is awesome - a masterwork :thumb:
How much time is a yonk though?
-
Thank you @William. Just to clarify the subtilities of the English language : A yonk is to a long time what a tad is to a short one! Clear?
