Taken off the paper pattern. Threaded up the pink.  Sewn 2 small darts, staystitched the neck and prepared the pockets and belt carriers. Also have a belt. That's a heavy day for me at the moment. But it is progress.

@Celia   if the pattern is cut to large, you will still be able to trace off the small size, if SoChic doesn't want it cut down.

Isn't the board marked in 1/2 inches?
Put a strip of insulating tape on the left side, up to the half inch.
Line the cut edge of fabric up with that and then cut at 7 inches.

Or if you are happy to do it, you can use a sharpie and mark the half inch between 6 and 7 on the board.

This may, or may not be, an entry. Depending how much energy I can summon up.  A bathrobe in dusky pink towelling from Poundfabrics. I need it, my old one is a disgrace.

@Sara-S   I use it when I need several matching threads for over locking in an unusual colour.
Doh!  You can tell I am not with it.  I already said this.🤭

I expect they just tried carefully adding one layer at a time to make sure they did no damage.

Yes, it is scary but they don't come loose.  Each stitch is made by the top thread going round the bottom thread as you know.  It is just a line of stitches but 'running on the spot' as it were.  You know how hard it is to pull a thread out unless you snip it a few places first.
It's the commercial ones that come out.  They just use one thread, push it through the ends alternately and hope the friction will hold it. (which it often doesn't, for me)

It is a good idea to be able to wind smaller spools from a big one if you need a specific colour for the overlocker.

I suggest you look up 'bobbin winder spool adapter'  You can buy them very cheaply  from all the usual places. I have one and it works very well with most brand reels.

Technical Help / Re: Shoulder slope adjustment created another problem

Also, look at advice on 'high round back adjustment'.  We often develop this problem as we age.  Description might give you some ideas.  Adding up all you have done seems to tend towards this.

A slim dart, a couple of inches or so long,  in the middle of the back shoulder.  I have seen this on some older fitted patterns anyway.  If your shoulders curve forwards (too much desk work?) you will definitely need this.

@Acorn I tried conditioner.  Use very very little, you can't handle it too much to wash out.  It didn't seem to do much for mine, but that one was very bad.  Perhaps it was the operator!

Will do @Ploshkin but try not to laugh, my husband did…
Explain to him that this is the whole point of a toile.  How else can we find out where to alter the pattern?
