Title: Machine Servicing

I'm looking for recommendations please - I have F&R overlocker & Janome sewing machine both in need of a service.

Can anyone help with recommendations please I live on Teesside but travel to the north of York regularly & also up to Gateshead so I'm not restricted to that immediate area.

The North East is a bit of a black hole when it comes to fabric/machines -<

Kevin Doody will come to your house, he’s based in Marton Middlesbrough. I’ve used him a few times.

There is a place in Bridlington that specialises in Janomes. I haven’t used them myself but have heard they are vey good.

Pleased to say Kevin Doody came to my house today and gave both my machines a de-fluff and oil etc (both have been running fine but a little noisy).

2 machines now purring  :meow: along nicely.

I took my Janome Horizon to Afforable Sewing Machines at Moreton yesterday. I expected to be told that it would be at least three weeks as they get a lot of machines for servicing but I MAY get it back on Friday, if not it will be Wednseday next week. I hope it isn't too long as I'm missing it as it leaves quite a space in the sewing room. They did my Elna twelve months ago.

I use a brilliant mechanic to look after mine, he lives in Goole which is about 20 miles south of York if that's any good to you.

Got my machine back today so I don't feel bereft any more.
