I coverhem my sleeves flat, then insert the sleeve, then sew up the sleeve seam and overlock it. I then thread the ends back into the seam with a large hand sewing needle. If you like you can machine tack the seam down (as per RTW tees).
This changes the construction order but is much easier than fiddling inside the sleeve :-)

Wow @Stitches that's a wonderful machine!

I've not been sewing but am matching old magazine sewing patterns (me, Essentials, Prima) back with the sheet with the picture, and planning to donate most of them.
(I had the page with the picture in a plastic sleeve in a folder and the pattern and instructions in a large brown envelope labelled with the number/month or whatever. This was how I stored my pattern in the late 1990s onwards. About 10 years ago I took a lot of the big 4 patterns out of the system, but never quite got around to the folders of magazine patterns!)

Love Notions have launched a pull on jeans pattern called the Crescendo jeans, which has 4 different leg shapes (flare, bootcut, skinny, straight). As its a new pattern its on at a reduced price which ends today. $9.50

I don't think they are different enough for me from the Itch To Stitch Mountain View Pull On Jeans which I already own, but if you don't have the MVs and you fancy a pull on jean maybe this would be good.

Hiya @Kwaaked yes that would be fine.

Hand wash separately with mild detergent are the instructions.
A bit hard to do if you use it in a quilt.

I suspect it has some dyes which are not completely colour fast.

My washing machine has a hand wash setting on it (cool water, gentle swishing, not much spinning) so if you have something similar I suggest using that.

We've had new windows in the whole house, sewing room was done this morning.
I packed the machines away and cleared the windowsill and area near the window for the fitters last night.
This afternoon I had a good vacuum round, including all the machines and have put everything tidy. Just need to decide what to sew next!

Hello folks how is the home sewing going?

We're half way through having new windows in our bungalow, which has prompted me to look again at the living room curtains. They were full length covering the radiator, so I temporarily put back the old ones I'd found in a cupboard as they were a better length

I feel new windows deserve the nice curtains, so need to shorten them to the same length as the old ones. This will leave me with some leftover fabric which I'm planning to use in there for cushions and or a table runner (its also the dining room).

Hiya KayK, not sure what's going on with your pictures.

If I download and try to open your file with the heic extension I get the error message that "The HEVC Video Extension is required to display this file".
Try saving your picture as a .jpg

When I do a 'copy link' from one of my pins in pinterest it is in this format, again a jpg, your link to pinterest is missing the end of the file path.

Lovely dressing gowns for you and the doll @toileandtrouble . Also super impressed that the scraps have all gone into a draught excluder!

Lovely @Acorn. Lots of our internal doors have 4 horizontal glass panels including the sewing room, so maybe the sewing room needs something like this as its probably the messiest room in the house

This was something I made for a previous home contest

Its the Closet Core Patterns Free Pouf. This lives at my friend's house as she loved it so much. She found the scraps too heavy so I made a beanbag to go inside instead
