Title: alterations gone wrong!!!
Post by: annieeg on October 04, 2020, 16:31:08 PM
Can you believe it - I have a waterproof (kind of vinyl with fabric back) jacket which had ridiculously long sleeves.
I unpicked the lining at the sleeve seams, and unpicked and removed the sleeves, the idea being to put the sleeves back in an inch higher and deeper (don't think I've xplained that very well :S).  One went back in very smoothly; the second I've just finished and realised I've put it in upside down - the underarm seam is on the top and the top of the sleeve is on the underarm.  How did I manage that  :| :|  OH remarked that I must have been watching too much GBSB as that is the sort of mistake those competitors make.
