Malaising the day away, unable to get started on the almost finished Quilt (WHY???)
I suddenly, for no reason thought of my long ignored button box and the delights held within!
When i used to be a get up and goer I had a (very, very) small concern making waistcoats to fit anybody and everybody and I (ahem!) accrued a great many glorious buttons...
that since have laid quietly in the Button box...Until now!
I am now offering these buttons for sale at the prices I paid(ish) in the '90's.
There may be the perfect button for you, a twin to the one lost on your favourite outfit or just something darling that you couldn't bear not to have ....
Whatever, I am open to reasonable offers on multiples and all prices include 1st class postage!
so step inside The Button Bazaar........

Apologies...
after *** hours photoing the buggering things I lost my nouse!
Hopefully all good now..

Ooooh
clocks and poppies for me please
Some of those bejewelled ones are very familiar, I used many of those in the 80s
-
Why isn't my button box all sparkly like that? Mine is full of browns going back to the 1940s/50s, admittedly it was mum's before I got it. The Caesar's head buttons are familiar though what they were on beats me.
-
Lots of lovely sparklies
-
..alas nothing for THE COAT
-
Please could I bagsy the 5 gold sun/moon buttons, the 3 gold suns, 2 gold stars and single gold crescent moon button?
-
Could I please have the gold hearts and the blue lapis-like ones?
Immensely impressed with you taking pics of them all!! So many lovely ones too!! I'm restricting myself to ones I would have immediate use for otherwise my list may be longer ;)
-
Thanks for your enthusiastic response Ladies,
I am offering these for sale exclusively to the Sewing Place members this Bank Holiday weekend.
On Tuesday I will add the album to my FB page for the wider world to have a chance to own them.
There are some real gems in there, nicely made and quite unique in a few cases, think handmade ceramic poppies!
Any purchases over this weekend will be sent out first class on Tuesday morning!
-
If they are not gone -
Could I please have the 8 little sparkly ones, also the two bigger sparkly ones. The clear ones :)

Well that's two lil packages of delight ready and waiting for the post office to open its doors tomorrow morning!!
I was thinking whilst wrapping these up, that these buttons have been lying in splendid isolation
for just about 25 years!!!!! OMG How did that happen ???
So I am soooo pleased that some of them are finally going on to a good home and hopefully some fabulous garments...
I would be delighted to see some pics if that is the case!
Anybody else want to bagsy some before I let the wider world into the secret??
-

Button batch number 4 is ready and waiting to wing their way to JillH .... but I need to check something!
Ladies, If any of you know JillH could you ask her to check her inbox please
-
Thanks Iminei look forward to receiving them.
As a matter of interest your last two e-mails came in and went straight to the Spam folder, I wouldn't have known this but I regularly check the Spam folder because for some reason this computer has a mind of its own and it is surprising what I find in there which shouldn't be there.
-
Button batch number 4 to JillH will be winging their way to her tomorrow lunchtime!
-
Hi Imi, my package of buttons has just arrived, they are gorgeous and so pretty. I think the swirly ones would make lovely earrings, only they will be used on something extra special.
I am really grateful that you offered TSP members the chance to buy some buttons, these are not just any buttons, they are a bit special.
Thanks again.
-
Unfortunately the postman didn't call today :'( and tomorrow we'll be away until Sunday, so I'll see them then 0_0
-
Buttons on the doormat when we arrived home. Lov-er-ley buttons. Many many thanks 0_0

By the way, I think your "daisy" buttons might actually be Edelweiss.

One of my favourite flowers.
-
So if I changed their description to Large Edelweiss buttons, would it be churlish of you not to buy them ??? :P
Only kidding, hon
