Hello,
I do hope someone can help me. I am doing a Victorian textiles project at college and my final piece will include a crochet collar. I want something with squared off edges and preferably some kind of floral pattern within it but I am struggling to find a pattern. The neckline of my dress is going to be wide so it will need it to fit around this.
If anyone has a pattern or knows where to find one I would be very grateful.
Thank you.

Irish crochet is the way to go. Make lots of motifs- roses and shamrock leaves are traditional but there are lots of others - arrange them into the shape you want and link them together with a mesh of crochet chains.
There is masses on the web, and in print, about making Irish crochet lace. Here are just the first few websites that Mr Google found.
