Very exciting @ScubaGirl . Enjoy it! Do you get half term out there? In the UK it's next week.

Good morning all, good to hear from @Silver Rose that you're making progress. I have a sore arm still. DH says he doesn't feel quite right but his arms aren't very sore, just a bit tender. He's still working solar water plumbing so is obviously not too bad. I'm finishing the advent calendar with a bit of hand embroidery, sequins etc to help hold the wadding to the front. Then I just need to embroider the child's name on the backing. Must remember to stitch hanging loops on before putting them together.

Now I have a sore arm. I've finished my bomber jacket at last. DD brought GS round as he was bored and she has a nasty cold & feeling grotty. We posted him out the landing window to 'help' Grandy with his solar water heater project. (It's a flat roof). That kept them amused for half an hour then we played cars. His scabs from the tumble at the BMX track are healed now, his face is back to normal thank goodness.

@Silver Rose good to hear you're out the other side. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

We were early for our jabs. As expected, I wasn't allowed the Covid one: there must be 182 days since the last. Picked up winter pansies in the market on the way home, but I won't plant them until after half term as the summer plants are still going strong. Will need to pot them on this week though.

The 1034 is a good workhorse, if you got a lightly used second hand one it could be a good deal. I replaced mine with the 4234 which has needle threading and the lower looper is easier to thread too. It also has adjustable stitch width. I've not used any other brand but have been very happy with both of them.

Good luck for tomorrow @Silver Rose . At least you know what to expect this time, and great to look forward to being pain free at last.

@Celia it's good to hear you enjoyed the WI, worth pushing yourself through the uncertainty barrier.

@Catllar good that Mr C is now well enough to get out and about.

Happy birthday @Iminei  :VV: I hope you're able to see Aunty G soon for a proper celebration. If I lived nearer I'd bake you a cake.

Thanks for that list @ScubaGirl  the Windflower looks interesting, I have a Burda that I think could look similar with an asymmetric hem and a grafted on cowl. I'll add it to my never ending list  :)

That's great! That pattern matching is superb, it would make my eyes go squiffy.

Glorious sunshine here but not warm enough to be in the garden. I hurried DH out to get our flu jabs at Boots. They had no record of us - the booking, the earliest available, is the 8 November: I just saw the 11  DH went into the doctor' surgery & asked the receptionist, & we're booked in for both flu & Covid boosters on Saturday. I've no idea how long it would have been if we'd waited for an invite. I don't like jumping the queue but will enjoy my holiday all the more knowing we've both been jabbed.  2 weeks time! Can you tell I've started the countdown?

Woke up too hot & worrying at 4am :S I don't have anything to worry about so don't know what that was about. DH also woke about 4.30 so we were drinking tea & reading the news, which is enough to start anyone worrying  :'( but then we both dropped off & have just woken. Foggy. I need to tidy the garden & plant stuff in the greenhouse. I want to finish my jacket, the advent calendar & make a pencil case that GS has requested.
