I have this (https://www.ladymcelroy.co.uk/lady-mcelroy-foxy-woodland) fabric that i will make a skirt or dress from but it is light weight and with the light behind it, see through. It will need lining but not sure what to use. I definitely don't want poly/satin in any shape or form. I have looked for a plain light weight swiss cotton but to no avail, it all seems to be dotted. I did have a full roll bought many moons ago from my local shop, now closed, and have used the last of it. Any ideas please.

I suggest cotton lawn too.

This is my ‘go to’ cotton lawn lining. It’s slightly sheer but does the job and is a reasonable price.

Thanks every one. @Stitchalot that is perfect. I am going to wait a couple of days before ordering as they have sales pretty regularly.

Cotton lawn - make sure you pre-shrink it!
