Title: Decembers BOM - Ho ho ho!!!

And finally its here,
the last Block of the Month of the year,

and as Im feeling particularly Christmasy this year
ensconced as I am in the snowy  Austrian Alps
(Oh yes it snowed last night, right on cue for the first Christmas Advent Market)
I have brought you a block, which isnt a block but is...

Mmm, that might be a bit of a challenge to fit it in with the rest of the BOMs in my BOM quilt. Better get my thinking hat on. Or perhaps I could make a larger version and it could be my thinking hat  ;)

if you want it to become a block block .. Which I hadnt even considered ...

Continue the log cabin to 12 1/2" (you may want to cut the centre square at 3 1/"2, but keep the strip sizes at 1")

Add hat material to the same size as the block (hopefully somewhere around the 13" mark)

Continue as directed and after cutting on the diagonal into two and pressing you will have two Santas ... both larger ... one of which could be used as a flat block within a quilt.

And you can see who spots it as a Santa!

Oh I like that and may just have to make 3 - one for each of the grandkids, however I still have to make the 'scrubbs' for pressies for two of them and I still haven't done November BOM yet.

Been speeding ahead this morning! With a welcome break when a friend called round unexpectedly. Great tales of her trip to Australia so when sewing Santa I was thinking of snorkerling along coral reefs.

No eyes as I think I'd spoil them.

They are Spectacular BW, and lil gemstone eyes would set them off nicely (no way to spoil those)

Hie thee hence to the BOM HOF and join Fajita for a glass of the Gluhwein that I've had shipped from Austria!

Can you tell I’ve managed to regain access to my sewing machine?
I’ve decided to scale things down a bit for this block and made it tree decoration size (cat for scale).

Bonus Block !!! Just when I thought I had got them all completed.  @Iminei I do hope you are not moving the goal posts and creating an extra month as I assumed the BOM was calendar months, not lunar months  :o

@Lowena - deal!  An extra glug of Gluhwein for me, and all the Garibaldis you can eat for you (and I promise not to call them squashed fly biscuits).

In my younger days we called garibaldis fly cemetaries. No one in my family seemed to like them. I wonder why.  :o

FAB U LOUS !!!

I found cutting the interfacing points off before applying and a stiff twiddle with a chopstick helped but you are right, they are hard to do!

Practice will help you get the points right ...
