Courses & Classes / Creativebug two month FREE trial!
« on: May 09, 2020, 20:39:30 PM »
I've been a Creativebug member for 2½ years and love it. It has all sorts of streaming classes. Most are a bit less sophisticated than bluprint so no couture classes, sorry. Many include free pdf pattern downloads. Some great stuff to entertain kids as well.

Creativebug is offering a two month free trial. I highly recommend. I'm also a Bluprint member this year and actually enjoy Creativebug more.

Here's the link.

Courses & Classes / Bluprint Free Week on Now!
« on: October 07, 2018, 10:36:56 AM »
Just checked my e-mail and there is a free "Get Started Event" at Bluprint this week. To refresh you, this is Craftsy's new version of Craftsy Unlimited. Go to Bluprint Home page and all classes are free to view only this week, through Friday, October 12. No codes or anything.

The fine print:
The Get Started Event ends on October 12, 2018 at 11:59PM Eastern Time. The Get Started Event is only available online at mybluprint.com and is not supported in the Bluprint App, Roku, or X1. Materials and patterns are not available for download during The Get Started Event. Class discussions are also not available during The Get Started Event.

I don't know if this works for you across the Pond but the other North American Peeps can surely watch.

I had previously done a trial 2 weeks or something for $1, so when I logged in everything was right where I left it!

Hope this is useful for some of you!

Hi, I'm new... / Greetings From Sunny California!
« on: March 11, 2018, 06:19:28 AM »
Hello. I've been lurking since Manuela told me about TSP last Summer and thought it was high time to join in. The first thread I read back then a few of the comments included a fish slap, or two. I knew I had found my people. Nothing more refreshing than a nice fish slap in the morning.

I'm in Middle California. It's sort of the forgotten center of the state, where much of the worlds food is grown. It is sunny and warm/hot here much of the year, with less than 11" of rain most years. Tonight it is raining! Time to celebrate!  :toast:

I've been sewing in dribs and drabs since childhood. I do a bit of garment sewing, the occasional quilt-but more likely just the flimsy. I've done a pinch of home deco sewing as well. I seem to excel at pillow cases but that's about it.

I look forward to chatting with you. I know some of you from elsewhere online so it feels very cozy here.

As credentials may I add that my Grandmother was from Hull?
