Title: My new challange
Post by: sewmuchmore on January 02, 2018, 18:29:59 PM
OK I accept the challenge to move to the dark side. Although I have done basic patchwork in the past (made a skirt and a patchwork westie) I have never done any quilting.
Do you think I am being too ambitious doing something like this as my first project? http://www.urbanthreads.com/tutorials.aspx?t=Quilting+with+Embroidery+Designs
I was thinking about a bed size quilt but that may be a step too far.

The quilting looks ok, you may have to simplify just a lil ....

Please scroll through  this tut ... it is easy and I will hold your hand !

and you will produce something, not necessarily a huge quilt, that is asking too much ...that you will be proud of!

Edit: On reading your last post more closely SMM, I now realise that the designs are done by embroidery machine and not quilted by (in my case in the tut) Walking foot.

In that case and as you obvs. do have access to an Embroidery machine, by the look of your cushions below, I would say there is no reason you couldn't achieve something along those lines and if you QAYG you could have the larger sized quilt too.
