Post by: Stitches on March 18, 2018, 09:28:20 AM: Saw these yesterday parrsfreemotionrulers being demo at the nec and I am not a quilter have dabble a bit , but these looked very good .they are made my a husband and wife team who is her self a quilter .

Also check out Leah Day on Youtube, she is using ordinary rulers with sticky on the back to help grip, you just need the proper foot. I haven't had a go yet but I've got plenty of templates, must get garment sewing out of the way first.

She has plenty more demos with different types of rulers. I like that AW is a big fan of 'Do what works for you' and makes the point that real life is not about perfection and straight-ish, and -ish generally is okay.

Now we all know that P&Q is not really my area of interest. That said, I can do ruler work and for the few pieces that I actually quilt, mostly I use the simple dot-to-dot type technique.
