I might manage one entry, I might manage two or even three. -<

I just purchased these two fabrics from EOS and was planning to make a sleeveless SA Maisie Designer Dress (https://www.stylearc.com/shop/sewing-patterns/maisie-designer-dress/) with the knit for the bodice and the floral for the skirt. They even showed up on the "possible coordinates" side bar for each other. I might change my mind and go with a black knit for the top instead.

But aren't those three copies of the same fabric? Confused!
sorry it's all gone pear shaped trying to get three images into the post.
@DementedFairy, I can see flowers, so it's floral :)oh yes, def floral...but three photos of the same yardage from what I can see. 4 pics, 2 pieces of fabric

So... floral... does it have to be "in yer face" flowers, or can subtle be used? Ok, maybe it's not subtle, but it's subtley floral...

@Lizzy777, I just noticed that :ninja:

Wherewherewhere did you get that mad fabric. It is 100% my style!!
I've just ordered some of this (https://www.myfabrics.co.uk/81-4609-003_double-gauze-muslin-dandelions-1-baby-blue.html) - floral or not floral?? Doesn't matter if it doesn't count :)oh that's sweet! And definitely floral, they're dandelions!
Beautifully fresh Bodgy, what are you making?A top of some sort :D

*Puts hand up*
Please, Miss, I've finished Miss 0_0
Do I just put pics and a bit ofwaffleinteresting information about it in one post on here?
I like that shape... what pattern is it?Oops, forgot to mention that, I'll edit the post - it's not a pattern, I just copied a rtw top, altering the armholes as they were very very wide and needed something underneath, so now this can be worn on it's own.
My black, yellow and grey scuba is destined to be a hoodie jacket. New Look 6142 (https://www.simplicitynewlook.com/6142).
Finished the first of my florals..I added 6 inches to the hi low hem. The fabric is a viscose-rayon print with a mind of its own..not a straight grain in sight! It’s the Claiborne top from DIBY.@Efemera can we have a picture or two more please :)
More pictures?..what kind of pictures?
Well my project is fast approaching the bin :'( Dunno why I convinced myself that a wrap dress is possible on my shape.
Well my project is fast approaching the bin :'( Dunno why I convinced myself that a wrap dress is possible on my shape. The triumph of hope over experience. I long for a wrap dress, but seeing that knit wrap top on me, demonstrated the impossibility of my dream. My condolences on your grief.
A few years back I made a number of fake wrap dresses, but being short waisted I hated how they looked on me (belt almost right under my boobs and all that) and constantly tried to pull the belt down.
However, I made the Cashmerette wrap dress for my step daughter a year or so ago, and she looks fab in it (H cup boobage).
I'm going to attempt to enter this if this fabric (https://www.dragonflyfabrics.co.uk/product/cotton-lawn-woodland-foxes/) is acceptable?
Some more floral pics.@Efemera, you have to help me here - are those more pictures for your first entry, or is this your second entry to the competition?
The ditsy print Claiborne top..tiny rolled machined hem on the sleeves, much better than a regular hem.
Hey June Santa Fe top with modified sleeve, it’s suppose to be a dolman sleeve but that’s just not flattering on me so I scooped out the armscye and shortened the shoulder length. The fabric is Art Gallery, it’s 95 cotton and 5 Lycra, it’s quite thick and spongy. Single fold bindings done on the coverstitch
That's 8 entries so far - great :Dyes will do it tomorrow if that's OK
@DementedFairy do you want to submit your post as an entry (and perhaps add a few pictures?)
yes will do it tomorrow if that's OK
just finished sewing lace on wedding dress...
@Francesca is there any chance you could insert the attached pictures into the text? Then I can copy and paste your entry into the voting thread. Otherwise I'd have to host the pictures elsewhere and link them.
Manuela I've now modified my post to include pictures
Manuela if someone can tell me how I do it. I don't have Flicker or anything like that and they are just in a folder on my computer.
I tried to 'copy' directly into the post but it wouldn't allow me to 'paste' it. ???
@Helen M next to the attachment is an option 'insert attachment), click this and the pictures appear in the text :)
Brenda that is what I did and saw the codes you mention. Not sure what else I can do?
I would never have considered this based on the pattern picture but you've totally sold it to me. I have some silky peach printed fabric that would work so well with this pattern. Thank you!
It will take me a couple of hours to get back home and do it if that's ok.
@Manuela Thank you, I did it in a hurry because SO had us going to his folks' house.
@Manuela , you can grab the URLs for the images from people's uploads without them being in the text if you like. Just expand the image, right click, choose "Copy image address" and it'll give you the address to the image.
Is it me or are the links to the individual entries not working? Or do we have to scroll through the thread to see the pictures?
Oops bottom of the class again! I didn't think :|
