Thought it would be a nice idea to make purses to go with my handbags and wanted to do something more like the purse I always use so I could make one and use it myself - BIG mistake :S - anyway after a few minor disasters with fabric and misunderstanding the pattern it's done and I'm pleased but I now need to clear my head before I make any more! I hope ALL you sewing project are going better than this one has for me!

It looks like it would be a complicated make...I've never ventured into bag/purse making.

Great job. An NCW I believe? I've made a couple. Made one for my mum and everywhere she takes it people ask about it. When I took mine on holiday one evening the lady sat next to me asked about it and asked if I made for other people. NOOOOOO. with the time it take it would be prohibitively expensive. I know lots of people make and sell them but I wouldn't be quick enough nowadays.

That's worked out really well Lizzie. I have got that pattern but have not yet got anywhere near attempting to make one.

Yes, it's an NCW (Necessary Clutch Wallet) if any of you do fancy it find and use the card slot tutorial where you cut the former out of card - it's a game changer - only sorry I didn't find it sooner!!

I just ordered and downloaded the pattern... but I have a stack of projects to complete and I must also get some cramming done for theory tests that are looming on my horizon.

The NCW is well known all over the internet. There is a Facebook group with all sorts of info and tutorials.
Now, once you get into these 0_0 there is also this pattern that I have somewhere.
