I remembered I have been hoarding carefully collecting Burda magazines (though with a hiatus over BLM when they were not responding).
So I've been back through looking for suitable blouses and have found a few candidates.

I went shopping the other day and did a short browse in a clothing shop.
As well as the usual button front shirts/blouses I noticed various other blouse styles which looked quite simple to sew.
But then going through my sewing patterns (of which I have loads) I couldn't really find anything like them.
I know not all RTW looks have comparable patterns, but thought maybe I'd need to buy some newer ones (shock horror)

Style 1, pulled on over the head, had a V neck with a band which formed a pleat at centre front, variations had a collar or stand up collar.


Style 2, pulled on over the head and had a loose wrap front.


Have you seen any patterns which are similar to these?

this is a 2 month contest so still plenty of time for your accessory!

I've been sorting out fabric for my SWAP too, some fabric that was in the sewing room unused from a previous phase has gone back into the garage.

I shall try to do some photos shortly.

A quick question, can the things made in SWAP also be put into the competitions?

yes, this is a sew along so doesn't impinge on any of the contests.

I've decided my capsule will initially be 6 pieces and will be inspired by this fabric which I already own.

I have 3.2 metres of it and plan to make a classic long sleeved shirt for myself from it. I'll then save any scraps to add small details to the co-ordinating pieces, e.g. pocket bags and may also make myself a bag of some sort.
