A new sewing magazine I bought the first issue today
Verdict?
OK and good for beginners (although it claims 'beginners to advanced')
Selection of clothing and household items
Says ' sew dresses for every shape and size' for this read 'model shape and size'
Has 8 patterns included but all need to be traced off and makes my eyes hurt just looking at the jumble of lines
Good instructions for projects
Sizes are American but that's not so unusual these days and this is made clear
Has knitting and other crafts in it
Has menswear! Unusual and welcome
Not littered with loads of adverts
No sewing talk or articles
Not sure that I will be buying issue number 2 unless I am particularly interested in something on the cover but given the pattern style I would probably try to find the item elsewhere
Anyone else seen it?
I'm still searching for that elusive magazine for advanced sewing techniques and articles maybe TSP should publish one with contributions from our lovely and amazing members :D

Oooh that's a new one on me! Thanks for the info. Where did you buy it?
La Maison Victor (https://www.lamaisonvictor.com/en-about-us/) website

I was browsing in our local newsagents (they never have any sewing mags usually even though I ask for them every time I go it there) and what caught my eye was the word 'sewing' amongst the blurb across the top
Then took it off the shelf for a closer look and was surprised that it was issue 1

I saw this in Waitrose today. I did pick it up and flick through it, then put it back because a) I needed to rush to get to work on time and b) husband was with me. If it's still available next time I'm in town, I'll have a more thorough look.

Its a lovely format, no adverts.
i don't think i'll buy it again unless there's a pattern I particularly like
