TSPBear here,

Iminei was away all day yesterday, carelessly leaving her laptop on and tuned to The Sewing Forum so,
as I have been watching Herself closely all these months, I logged on and registered ... and how easy was that ???!!!

So here I am, one of you , a real life Peep (as I believe she calls you) on the forum ....

Thank you so much for all your lovely welcomes, I feel very special !
Its been sooo frustrating watching Im and Herself chatting away to peeps on TSP without getting my Twopennth in, especially as regarding your lovely creations ... although I am afraid Ploshpeep, that Im definitely a boy and do not much care for Pink, fairies or Loonicorns .. sorry

I understand from the OOhs and Aaahs coming from t'other side of the laptop that entries for my quilt competition are now arriving and am much miffed that Im on the other side of the machine ..... but so pleased you peeps are taking pity on a bear thats left in the cold each night and creating me a wondrous quilty thing.

I hear rumblings upstairs now so must dash back to the sweat shop in the corner before Herself comes down to start her day .....

Oh, and Lowenapeep, I'm most definitely a Lush bear, created only this year, not fredbare in anyway ... but thx for the thought.

Not clear that it's a true story though!

Ranks alongside the story about the child in a church service upon hearing, 'let us use the words that Jesus taught us' turned to his mother and said: 'You never told me Jesus had a tortoise!' :D

It is from the Perishers cartoon, a newspaper strip from the Ancient Past (ie, my youth) Maisie and Baby Grumpling and their family and friends. Maisie is put in charge of Baby Grumpling but has her eye on a dark haired youth called Mahlon who is totally oblivious to her charms. I have some of the annuals and they can still raise a stifled snort of laughter. Baby loves to dig holes and is training an olympic spider.. I'm sure TSP bear would enjoy it very much.
