Thanks for sharing the cute photo and don't be ashamed.  That cardigan fits perfectly, so you now have at least one tnt pattern for the doll.  Leggings are going to be hard to fit because the doll's feet are big.  I might go with bloomers.  The elastic can stretch over the foot if you don't make it too tight.

Acorn, how are you coming along in your knitting and sewing for Dolly?  Have you been able to find patterns that suit her?

You've made an adorable wardrobe for your granddaughter's doll, WendyW.  It's a very good idea to take into consideration ease of dress when making things for a young girl.  Otherwise they can get frustrated trying to change the outfits.  I totally agree about lining the dresses and tops at this scale.  And making them reversible gives you two for one.  You can't beat that.

I adore your dolls, @indigotiger.  They have such presence for being so tiny.

I've been making dolls from Ann Wood's pattern since she first published it.  I have to say, I just love the pattern.  I've sewn eight of the dolls, with another one cut out and ready to stitch together.  I've sewn the clothes from the pattern for them and also skirts and pants similar to the bloomers in Ann's pattern.  I've also been knitting and crocheting for the dolls.  I recently designed a knitted dress to fit them.  You can get the free pattern for that here if you are interested:  Cap Sleeved Dress for Tiny Rag Dolls.

These are my first four dolls.

Most of my dolls have crocheted wigs instead of the fabric wigs in Ann's pattern.

I'm currently on day 78/100 of an Instagram #100dayproject featuring these little dolls. Here are a few of my favorite pics from that project.

WendyW.  That is a neat looking pattern.  It looks like the dolls have embroidery floss hair.  My latest tiny doll has an embroidery floss wig.

As you can see my dolls have rather varied tastes in clothing.

@BayCreekGal, you could have entered the Selfless February contest with all that. You'll find a list with all 2019 contests among the sticky threads in this section.

Thank you, Manuela.  I copied the list over into my OneNote so I can check it easily.

Too bad this wasn't the Feb. contest.  I spent most of the month sewing bibs (16), leggings (5) and Barbie clothes (lots) for my grandsweeties.  Maybe I can fit in something before the end of the month.

I'm almost finished with a bib for my youngest grandsweetie who is a drooler.  I did the faux chenille technique which I never got around to trying back when it was so popular.  I used four layers of a flannel sheet we had for a smaller bed and one layer from some fabric from my eldest (15 years old) grandsweetie's nursery.  I don't save everything.  Not me.  What can I say, I was influenced by my grandma who went through the depression.  I'll post a pic when it comes out of the wash and gets its snap.  I need to make some more bibs, but I think these will be plain ones.  Those channels on the chenille are a pain to sew and a bigger pain (a literal one) to cut.

I was hoping the snow flakes I'm seeing was just something for yesterday, but I'm still seeing them today.  I get migraines and something like this causes me problems.  Can I turn them off?

Thanks for replying so quickly, @Manuela

Your dress turned out so cute.  My sister had one of those Mondrian dresses in the mid sixties when she was about four.  She looked adorable in it.

I just now found this thread.  I'm not sewing any doll wardrobes right now, but I have made several in the past.  I'd be happy to share them if anyone is interested.

I have a couple of garments made from stash yardage planned for January, so if I get them finished I will enter.

I have a couple of bins of yardage, but much of my stash is made up of thrifted garments that I have purchased specifically to make into something else.  Many of these have been waiting around for years.  I know there is a refashion contest coming up in Sept., but I really want to get some of these garments either made into something I will wear or use or out of the house in the near future.  I guess my question is, does the stash fabric have to be yardage?

In the wardrobe / Re: Making a plain knit top more interesting

I have a couple of RTW tops that have the neck trimmed with pleated, toning, woven fabric.  The trim in both is cut on the bias and not finished.  On one, it's just about 1/2" of the pleated fabric sticking up from the inside of the neck.  That one is a semi sheer fabric.  The other one has about 2" pleated and sewn over the neckline in two seams about an inch apart.  I like that not only does it have a bit of texture from the pleating, but the texture of the fabric is different too.
