Here's my attempt at January's BOM. Some of the points are a bit squiffy but I'll blame that on the fact that I'm still a bit squiffy with vertigo.  :S It just doesn't want to go.

Anyway, overall I'm reasonably pleased with the block - although I just looked back through all the ones that have been made so far and mine is quite scarily similar to Sandra's first one! Sorry Sandra - wasn't aware when I was choosing the batiks.  :'(

I have exactly the same yarn in almost the same colourway that I'm crocheting a lap blanket out of. It's lovely to work with and incredibly soft too.

I've only made two so far but the plan will be to add more blocks, and/or borders, to make small quilts. Either that or cushions (less likely), or they could be used as feature panels on tote bags. All sorts of ideas.  :)

It's beautiful, and there's a huge amount of work and love been poured into that quilt. Unfortunately it's a sad fact that people don't want to pay what something is worth these days.  :(
