Title: Reverse Button Not Working on Janome MS2522
Post by: ShannonMita on October 10, 2020, 09:10:30 AM
Hi,

I'm a new member and not sure if this is the right place to post this, but am looking for a little troubleshooting help.

We've just brought a second hand Janome MS2522 and the reverse button was not working, so (rightly or wrongly) looked up a few YouTube videos and found one that related to the model. it was suggesting that a cam was not snapping back when the button was pushed due to friction, which could be accessed if the bottom panel was removed. Once they cleaned it and oiled it, it was moving freely again.

However when I did this, I didn't get the same result. As the spring doesn't seem to be actually holding the cam in place to start with. Could anyone shed some light on potential solutions, apart from the obvious of taking it to a technician as current funds don't allow for that.

If the above is a bit vague, I'm happy to clarify anything!

Thanks in advance,

Shannon
