Great news @Iminei.  At least you know !
@Sara-S happy anniversary! :VV:

Had a good night again despite the wind.
Everywhere has been cleaned and we’re packed up ready to head home in a few minutes.  :(
Still, we'll be back soon.

Washing later I expect.  Sort some dinner. DH at Rock Choir so an evening to myself.

Have a good day

Embroidery Machines / Re: Another new toy!
« on: Today at 11:53:17 »
@Bill have you bought it online or bricks and mortar shop.  If a shop then get them to demo the machine.  They should show you how to set it up etc.
It’s a nice machine and I’m sure you’ll conquer it.
Lots of people on here have embroidery machines.  Word of advice is to RTFM before messing with it.

Slept really well last night.  Dull start to the day. But nice and warm.  This afternoon we’ve sat with the door open!  Had a walk around without a coat.  DH has planted some bulbs outside the caravan and cleared the guttering out.  But most of the trees still have leaves on so we’re probably going to have to do it again soon.

I’ve ordered some fabric for the raincoat and some sealant.  That should be fun!
Packed up some bits as we're back home again tomorrow as DH has his booster booked Thursday.
There seems to be no logic to this this time round.  He got his invite before my mum!

Need to do a Morrison’s order in a mo or I’ll forget!  Have a good evening folks.

Yep,I’d move too!

Glad you got it sorted.  Sometimes it’s a puzzle we never really understand but if it’s solved it’s ok.

No I’ve never come across a left land sewing machine. I have occasionally seen photos of machines that look like they’re left hand ones.  Unfortunately it’s just the photo being printed in reverse!   Seen them in magazines of all places.

Stiff interfacing suggestion here too.  But the stuff drink isn’t a bad idea!

Afternoon folks.  Bit wet here but we have some lovely sunshine.  Bad night's sleep and then of course it was gone 9 when I finally woke up.  But as it’s wet we decided not to venture out till a bit later.

Nothing interesting going on.  Just lazing around. Maybe a drive and sit by the beach if it’s still damp.

Have a good day all.

A bit of a 'do' / Re: Bone or underline?
« on: October 24, 2021, 18:25:50 PM »
As said, boning the neck won’t support the skirt.     If it was me and the weight of the skirt was pulling the neckline down I’d be adjusting the neckline accordingly.  A waist stay will support the skirt and keep it where it should be.  Underlining won’t do that but will give the garment a nice finish.  It helps prevent show through of seam allowances and supports the fabric.  Hems can be invisible when underlined too.

Afternoon all.  Bit grey but not cold.

Managed to get over to the caravan by 11 today in time for coffee.  Thought it might be cold but we’re quite cosy.

A few days of not doing a lot here apart from eating, drinking and the occasional walk.  Wonderful!

@Iminei glad you’re going to do a PCR test.  Best to know before spreading it around.  Luckily not as many cases here as at home so happy about that.

Have a good day all.

Love a wearable twirl @Celia
Seriously, looks great.  Loose body suits me.  I have this pattern.   Might have to have a look
Easy enough to add width to the sleeves on this.
