Title: Another M6886-ish
Post by: Vezelay on July 27, 2018, 13:07:37 PM
Refashioned from the long skirt of a charity shop Next sundress. M6886 top half, armhole and neckbands added and my first ever coverstich hem (exciting!) with my new Janome CoverPro 2000. I slightly botched this by forgetting I had the presser foot up right at the end but I sewed the missing few stitches with my machine and because of the fabric it doesn't show. I should probably have made all sorts of pattern adjustments (sway back, forward shoulder) but just wanted to get on with it.

The fabric is 100% cotton and has a lovely liberty like feel to it. I don't feel comfortable in strappy vests any more but these only-just-sleeveless tees and tops are just right for this weather.
