Title: Pattern similar to Liesl & Co Cinema Dress
Post by: annieeg on March 26, 2019, 12:16:03 PM
Does anyone know of a BIG 4 pattern similar to the Liesl & Co Cinema Dress?

I'm particularly interested in the Bib-style yoke and soft (but not voluminous) gathers.
It does not have to be a dress - ideally I want to make something like this as a top.
Thanks in advance. :)

How about this McCall pattern with a bib style yoke. I've made it up as a top - came together quite well. It does have soft pleats at the back and if I made it again I'd probably find a way to omit those.

I can't see a yoke in that pattern, only princess line seams and an interesting neckline shape.

The McCalls pattern does have a yoke and sidey bits (that's a technical term!  ;) ). The only thing I wasn't so keen on when I used this pattern are the pleats at the back - but it would be easily possible to redraft the back to eliminate those I think.

No, it's still princess seams.  A proper yoke goes right across from armscye to armscye.
