I wish to propose a round of applause and many cheers to @Iminei & @Acorn for making sure that we still have a working forum after a failed migration. This shows just how lucky all of users and members are to have them at our side.
BRAVO!! :toast: :toast: :toast: :toast:

Running current: Linux Mint- 17.3 - Cinnamon, Kernal 4.4.0-131 generic
Brother P ED 8 software trial
Q4 Wine, native: no additional updates or libraries added
Installed and ran fine. No issues but testing is limited with a trial.
Hope this is helpful for you.

Thanks for the replies, All.
@Iminei ..... I'm sat now trying to get my head around design software. I don't have a Windows pc so am trying to use Linux. Has anyone managed to run Brother software under Wine? (Not whilst drinking wine!)
@Wychall I am just reading this thread and catching up on  a few things, and... did you succeed to get this running on Linux? If not then let me know what flavor you are running, what you have tried and which Brother softy you are trying to install.

@Iminei I love  <3 <3 the quilt and dang that is a wonderful addition in the pillow case!
It makes me happy to see that in TSP we do count on each other and the thoughts we have. That makes TSP more than a forum, it really links the people involved here together. I thank you and the founders for this. I have to thank the members too in how they respect and respond to everything, try finding that in the real world today.

@Sew What?
I think it is a fantastic job done there.I know I can not make suggestions since I do not know yet what is what but I will ask if you are trimming into the corners? I also know the covers are not for use when using the gear, would be hard to do covered, but I am imagining this is for road trips to protect the gear.
I like what I am seeing and I even like the radius'ed corner for gear.
Fantastic!!

Sewing Machines / Re: Sewing Machine Tension issue
« on: January 14, 2020, 03:24:43 AM »
Update to the issue.
I did another cleaning and found the small hair spring behind the body where you can almost not see this, filthy! so cleaned this with Denatured alcohol and a syringe. It helped but, the problem is not resolved. @Celia as you stated the tension discs might be stuck in one position. Yes! Sort of. The little spring does control the plates for small variations, I spoke to the Husqvarna shop near here, had a good chat with the technician/owner and he knew of this problem with the 120's. Again the cost of repair will exceed value, and price of a new machine. The good news was he has and sold me both springs, spare set of pressure plates and a set of belts, and I will have these in a week'ish. He thinks he has a bobbin case as well, and will throw that in if so. He did say that the bobbin case could be the whole issue as well.
For teh age of the machine, it will get the new parts, I can do the $$$ labor and see this machine back to tip top shape. "Determination"
