I have recently returned from my holiday to Portugal. Here is my travel guide with details of the local fabric shops I found in Porto, Braga and Coimbra.

Oh that first picture reminds me of rummaging in the remnants table in Boyes (when they were proper remnants and drastically reduced)

I saw a fabric shop on a TV prog about a buying a holiday home buying it and doing it up for £10,000 in Portugal last night. That shop reminded me so much of the fabric shops we had here in the 1960's/70's. I asked DH if we do the round trip in a day but the beast laughed at me :S.

I sent my sister the list as she was going to Portugal. She sent me a photo of herself stood outside a fabric shop smiling. She didn’t even go in and pick me something. I keep thinking it might be a surprise present for later in the year.
